Information
AnnexTosh was formed on the ninth of August, two thousand four by two men by the names of Bryan and Tim. One on drums, the other on the electric guitar, respectively. AnnexTosh has an old skool sound (or so it has been said) but also has some modern influences. Almost every genre has been experimented with, unless it's generic country or rap (but not hip-hop! That stuff rules!) |
Tim Hullo, mate. I usually play an Ibanez RG Series electric guitar, but don't bother me for the exact number. I play bass for some of the music, as well. I Alien Piks because they are the guitar pik for hardcore kids. I like to have interactive shows when we play, and smaller crowds are teh cool. The guitar has been teaching me for around 5 years, and it still knows that it is the boss of the relationship. I no longer have a true afro, but it should return in a few months.
-A lesson in rockin'- Develop your own style. Don't rely on power chords and three chord progressions to make music. Otherwise, you'll just become another Green Day rip-off, and there's already 10,000 to many of those. Don't fret (Haha!) if you drop your pik. Use your whole hand to strum, make it bleed! Pain is temporary, awesomeness lasts forever. |

BRYAN I started playing drums when I was 11ish, and I just love to play. I really love to place in a ton of double bass. I use the plastic tipped drum sticks. It gives me more pop on my drums. Some other really cool sticks are those Hott Rods, or Thunder Rods, those are sweet! My set is a Ludwig from like the 80's. I got it free from my church, it was their old set. I didn't get symbols with it, and I had to replace the heads, but I love that set. Its a wicked sweet set, 5 piece, black, Sabian B8 series symbols, and a sweet zilgian 8" splash. I purchased the symbols at Hauer Music in '99 for a whopping $375! Now you can get the same symbols for $150. Man things change... oh well, Rock'n good times! Just remember one thing... I'm the Drummer.
- For all the Drummers out there - My cousin David is a Professional Drummer, and he was saying that if you want to make it in the drumming world, if you are on time, if you play well, and if you have good work ethics, you can go far. |
Band FAQ's Bryan, why do you have your ride symbol on the left side and your crash on the right, isn't that opposite? Its just a style, and I think its more original. My drum teacher logically set up her drum set when she was young, and she still has it that way. So now that I'm taking lessons from her, I set it up that way. Also, he says that its faster saves time on stick travel. Let me explain....usually when you are done with a fill you end up on the right side of your set, so it only seems fit to have your crash symbol over there. Otherwise you would cross over and back again, and that gets tiring. Why did Wet Feet break up? There really isn't all that good of a reason for Wet Feet breaking up. Mainly, its because the Bassist didn't like the fact that they weren't going anywhere. So he broke off with the Drummer and started a new band, Gluten for Punishment. So the Guitarist started a new band with the same drummer, to form this band, AnnexTosh. Taylor the DJ, is going solo with his dogs, and moving to California to make a movie of his life. What's the best guitar pik to buy? Surely thou knowest! Yes, rest assured. I know the best pik to buy. Go to alienpik.com. Those pik's are the roxx0rz; they don't wear down and look totally rad. Think of it as buying a set of 5.1 speakers for your home theater system. (which I know all of you do -- regularly) Would you rather get the bland, boring, crappy, beige, tiny speakers or the deadly-red-fire-shaped-crazy speakers with a BAGILLIONZ WATTZ of power? Exactly. Oh, and Alienpik, when you see this, I hope you feel the need in your heart to support a young band who mercilessly endorses your product. How can we contact AnnexTosh?
